Automotive Compliance Consultant's $1 Million Red Flags Guarantee is Retro 3 ...
Crystal Lake, IL (PRWEB) June 16, 2011
Automotive Compliance Consultants ( www.compliantnow.com ) said today that its $1 million Red Flags Errors and Omissions insurance guarantee is one of the most protective in the industry for auto retailers.
Automotive Compliance Consultant's $1 million Red Flags Rule compliance protection is per occurrence and furthermore is retroactive three years for auto retailers who have retained Automotive Compliance Consultants during that time.
"This is one of the most protective and comprehensive Red Flags compliance coverage programs available to auto retailers today," said Terry Dortch, President, Automotive Compliance Consultants, Inc.
"If we miss something in our Red Flags Rule compliance consultation or provide a client with incorrect information, this program covers any fines or civil suit costs the client may face as a result, up to $1million in damages," Dortch added. "In other words, this is our guarantee that if the dealer complies with our Red Flag recommendations the dealership will not have issues with its Red Flag compliance."
If a dealership extends auto credit to consumers or arranges auto credit for consumers, compliance with the rules probably applies. The Federal Trade Commission's Theft Prevention Program enforces the Red Flags Rule. The Rule is designed to define a process for protecting consumers from identity theft.
As its name implies, red flags are patterns, practices or specific activities that indicate the possible existence of identity theft. Fines as much as $16,000 per incident can be levied for violators.
This $1 million protection also covers Automotive Compliance Consultants clients for fines or civil suit costs to this level arising from issues related to several other compliance matters, including Gramm-Leach-Bliley, OSHA, EEO and dealership F&I practices, for which the company provides consulting services.
Automotive Compliance Consultants specializes in dealership compliance, providing in-dealership consultations and analysis, compliance audits, and training, and offers solutions for all compliance needs. The Automotive Compliance Consultants staff has extensive experience in the retail automotive industry and focuses exclusively on dealership compliance issues.

Sutil supports look at red-flag rule, explains Monaco pit-stop ...
Formula 1 ought to give the red-flag rule a look following the Monaco Grand Prix, Force India driver Adrian Sutil says in an exclusive Q&A with the Formula 1 site.
Here it is ; I’m not saying there’s much of big interest, though. In fact, I’ll go out on a limb and say the red-flag discussion and his explanation of all the pit-stop troubles are the highlights.
“The pit lane is very narrow so it’s hard to position the cars perfectly for your pit stop, which makes it harder for the mechanics to be precise,” he said about the various pit-lane flubs during the race. “For the driver it’s also challenging because you have to watch out for unexpected things.”
As for the rule allowing the teams to change tires during a red-flag situation, Sutil supports giving it a look.
“I didn’t directly benefit from it because I changed my tyres before the red flag,” he said. “A few other cars did benefit a lot because they actually got a free pit stop. I think it’s a good idea to have a look at that rule.”
Sutil also softly denies being responsible for the race stoppage.
“I was struggling with my tyres and I lost my rear end into the Tabac corner and touched the wall,” he said. “I had a puncture and tried to stay on the circuit and drive back to the pits to change my tyres. I didn’t really see what happened behind.”
And that’s really it. But the news is slow enough today to present this to you for your enjoyment. Seems like everyone is waiting for the Bahrain decision, which — judging by Ross Brawn and Bernie Eccelstone’s comments already this week — is likely to come down as a “no” for 2011.
But no, I’m not going to leave you with that. Here’s one little nugget from Sutil’s interview I saved just for you: Talking about how difficult it is to drive at Monaco, he pulls a half-Willi Weber: “Your concentration level has to be at 120 percent all the time.” Apparently, Adrian skipped his math classes as a kid.
After the Lewis debacle, I kind of wondered why no one was asking why Sutil’s actions were given no criticism. It appeared as though he would have had enough room to slow his car safely, or even stop it, but instead he barreled on straight into the fray of the train behind him.
I loved to see Force India doing well in that race, but if we’re handing out penalties for “avoidable” accidents, how is Sutil not under the microscope? The impact of his decision to pull back on to the track in that state is not even measurable.
