Mopar .25 Midgets Return to 'Little E' July 15-17; Join Kings Royal at ...
INDIANAPOLIS -- The USAC Mopar .25 Midgets, which debuted at Tony Stewarts Little E oval at Eldora Speedway last September, return to the tracks specially-bulit oval July 15-17 as part of the tracks big Kings Royal weekend. USACs Mopar .25 drivers will be issued complimentary tickets to view the WoO Sprint car action as well.Round two of the 2011 USAC Dirt Triple Crown Series will offer points toward that special championship, which began at Hagerstown, Md. and concludes the weekend of September 23-25 at the Dirt Nationals finale of the 2k11 Generation Next tour.
The 2010 appearance of the Mopar .25 Midgets at Eldora produced some great racing and the July 15-17 events will offer a great opportunity for teams to gear up for the upcoming Generation Next finale which will determine USACs 2011 National Champions. The National Champions will again be crowned at this Decembers USAC Night of Champions National Awards Dinner in Indianapolis, Ind.
Racing at the Little E is pretty special, not to mention the great weekend of Sprint car racing, says James Spink, USAC Director.
Last years Eldora Generation Next tour event drew 245 entries in 17 classes.

CONCORD, N.C. — June 27, 2011 — Donny Schatz moved one step closer to Sprint Car racing immortality Saturday night at Princeton (Minn.) Speedway by winning the 107th World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series A-main of his career. Schatz, of Fargo, N.D., battled with local favorite Mark Dobmeier through the mid-point of the race, finally wrestling the lead away on Lap 28 of the 40-lapper. Schatz then held off red hot Jason Sides on the final restart to claim his second victory of the season and third in a row at the quarter-mile bullring.
