Which class do you think got the most loving over their 3.5 counterpart?
I think the two classes that got the most upgrades over their 3.5 counterparts have to be the Rogue and the Paladian.
Rogue gain talents that allow them to specialize into different type of characters allowing them no longer having to be cookie cutters of what they once where. Feats are no longer the only way that a character can specialize their character. Now they can have a character that have some very minor magic, or they can move quicker while stealthed. As they get higher in level the abilities of talents also increase.
The paladin has to be the next in the upgraded class. I like that they added mercies to the lay on hand abilities. Instead having a very situational mount that on most adventuring would not use most of the time they allow to power up your weapon to very powerful magic weapon. Smite evil ability is upgrade to allow to attack an individual for the length of a fight. Allowing you to gain a bonus to attack and damage based on your modifers.
Which class would you say got the biggest upgrade over their 3.5?
Bummer on the player front, but everyone has good intentions on the internet—I’ve certainly signed up for my share of cool little projects and found that my enthusiasm didn’t last.
Still looking forward to playing. It’s nice that you’re planning on running something “simple,” too; low levels and base classes keeps things manageable and ensures that tactics and roleplaying really matter.
Anyway, hopefully we can get started soon.
